Are you interested in supporting and working with families, children and/or youth as a career?
The Family and Community Services Dual Credit Program program is a one semester, four-credit high school & two-college credit program for grade 12 students. This program helps to broaden the education & experiences of students interested in working with families & children in their post-secondary career. Students are selected from all Burlington Public and Catholic schools for this program, where they will divide their week into three days at a placement of their choice and two days at Lester B. Pearson, where they are team-taught by a high school teacher & two Mohawk College instructors. Part of the semester includes frequent trips to Mohawk College, as well as other field trips that enrich student learning in the careers related to community service fields.
